Vocation Director

If you would like to talk to someone about Oblate life, discernment and how God might be calling you in your life, Fr. Marty Lukas, OSFS is who you might want to talk to since he, like all Oblates, also knows what it is to discern a call. 

In 1999, Fr. Marty discerned that he would like to serve the Oblates as Vocation Director.  Previous to this, Fr. Marty spent most of his priesthood serving in a variety of roles at St. Francis de Sales High School in Toledo, Ohio, ending his ministry there as principal. 

Since becoming Vocation Director, Fr. Marty has traveled throughout the Province meeting with men considering life with the Oblates, writing letters and e-mails and making sure all the OSFS Associates keep in touch. 

When in Toledo, Fr. Marty assists at Gesu Parish where he resides with other Oblates.  He also helps coordinate the Teens Encounter Christ (TEC) retreat experience for the Toledo Diocese.  He is the Toledo regional coordinator for the Oblates and active on the National Council for Religious Vocations.
